Authentication pairs your CLI environment with your ZyVOP account, enabling access to your connected publishing targets and developer settings.

Run zyvop login to authenticate directly from your terminal:

zyvop login

1. The CLI prompts for your Email or Developer Token:

   Tip: If you signed up via Google or GitHub, enter your Developer Token from Settings > Integrations.
   
   Email or Developer Token:

2. Password Authentication: If you enter an email address, you will be prompted for your password.
3. Developer Token Authentication: If you enter a Developer Token (zv_...), the CLI validates and stores it directly.
4. Your token is safely written to ~/.zyvop/config.json with restricted permissions (0600).

If you signed up via Google or GitHub Social Login, generate a Developer Token in ZyVOP Developer Settings and authenticate with:

zyvop login --token zv_<48-hex-character-token>

Environment Variable Login (Recommended for CI/CD)Copy Anchor Link

You do not need to run zyvop login in CI/CD pipelines (such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI). Instead, export the ZYVOP_TOKEN environment variable:

export ZYVOP_TOKEN="zv_<48-hex-character-token>"

Store the value in your CI provider's encrypted secret manager and inject it as ZYVOP_TOKEN; do not put it in a repository, workflow file, or command-line argument. The CLI checks process.env.ZYVOP_TOKEN before reading any local config file.

To disconnect your current machine and delete stored credentials from disk:
