Content & Navigation
Build custom navigation bars, create static pages, use full-text search, and configure the article reading experience on your publication.
Custom Navigation (Navbar)
Build a custom navigation bar with up to 20 links. Each link has:
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
label | Display text (max 80 characters) |
url | Internal path (e.g., /about) or external URL |
type | Link type: PAGE, SERIES, or LINK |
openInNewTab | Whether external links open in a new tab |
priority | Sort order (integer, -1000 to 1000) |
Navigation renders in both the desktop header and a mobile hamburger drawer. Internal page links are automatically resolved relative to the publication's base URL. Series links (e.g., /series/my-series) are resolved to the series landing page.
Static Pages
Create dedicated content pages that live alongside your publication:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
title | Page title (max 200 characters) |
slug | URL path (e.g., about, contact). Lowercase alphanumeric, hyphens, underscores, and slashes. |
content | Rich text content body |
description | Optional SEO description (max 500 characters) |
isPublished | Published/Draft toggle |
Published pages appear automatically in the footer navigation. Each page has its own URL (e.g., yourdomain.com/about). Pages are resolved by the backend and rendered within the publication layout shell.
